As we highlighted in previous article last year, the Government launched a consultation on the 16th March 2020 on whether to introduce a statutory right to 1 weeks unpaid carer’s leave per annum. That consultation closed on the 3rd August 2020, and the measure is likely to be included in the new Employment Bill, which it is anticipated will be introduced later this year.
