From the 30th September 2023, the new rules reduce the number of documents required to be submitted when appealing to the EAT, with appellants no longer required to include copies of any claim and response with the Notice of Appeal. Moreover, the EAT will be able to extend the time limit for an appeal in circumstances where there was a minor error in terms of lodging the correct documents, subject to the appellant have rectified the error and the EAT considers it just to grant the extension.
