Survey: 23% Of Workers Run Out Of Money Prior To Pay Day

New research conducted by Ciphr, involving 2000 respondents, has found that 23% of workers have found themselves out of money at least once this year, the main reason being the cost of living crisis. The survey also found that the situation was even worse for students (42%) and the unemployed (36%). Moreover, a higher proportion of younger workers, those under the age of 45, have encountered difficulties in buying food and paying their bills (30%), compared to older workers, those over the age of 45 (15%). Furthermore, 25% of those under the age of 34 have had to take on loans and/or move in with family and friends, well above the 10% average.
