Review Of Employment Rights Bill By House Of Lords Continues

The House of Lords will continue with its detailed examination of the Employment Rights Bill at the committee stage on the 3rd June 2025. Amendments put forward include enhanced legal protection for whistleblowers, clarification on the harassment definition, greater protection against discrimination in relation to political beliefs, and enhanced statutory paternity pay. As we highlighted in an earlier article, Lord Young of Acton has tabled a number of amendments in relation to Clause 20, the section of the Bill that would require employers to take all reasonable steps to prevent their staff from experiencing harassment by third parties.
