HMRC Unveils Digital PAYE Service

The 35 million employees on Pay As You Earn (PAYE) will be able access their tax affairs through a new online PAYE digital service either through a personal HMRC account or via a HMRC app. The platform will enable users to review and modify their income, allowances, reliefs, and expenses. The new service aims to achieve savings of £50 million and will be followed by additional measures over the coming years to enhance efficiency. The goal is to increase the proportion of customer interactions conducted digitally to 90% by 2030, up from the current level of 76%.
