The government has launched a new consultation on whether newly qualified dentists should serve in the NHS for a few years post-graduation. It will address whether new dentists should deliver a minimum amount of NHS care or repay some of their subsidized training costs. Currently, nearly one-third of registered dentists do not provide NHS services. The consultation will close on the 18th July 2024.
