Employment Tribunal: Delay In Rollout Of New Practice Directions

The new Employment Tribunal Practice Directions which had been scheduled to come into force on the 6th January 2025 have been put back until later in January. With the Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024 coming into effect on the 6th January 2025, the implementation of the new Practice Directions had originally been timed to come into force with those Rules simultaneously. The announcement of the delay stated that the changes would not be ready in time. The revised Practice Directions will, among other provisions, prevent Respondents from filing their ET3's via email, barring exceptional circumstances.
