The prime minister announced on the 18.3.24 that the Government will invest £60 million in funding the full cost of apprenticeships for workers under the age of 21 in small firms, with effect from the 1st April 2024. Furthermore, the amount of unused levy funding that employers can transfer to other firms will increase from 25% to 50%. The Government projects that these reforms will help to increase the number of apprenticeships by 20,000.
