Further to our recent article on the increase in flexible working, a new report from the Resolution Foundation has found that 75% of employers utilised flexible contracts of some type during 2023, with flexible contracts defined by the authors of the report as "variable-hours and zero-hours contracts...[and] temporary work such as casual, seasonal or short-term employment". Moreover, 48% of that 75% plan to make increased use of them over the next 5 years, with 32% of those employers stating that their staff prefer such contracts.
