Child-Care-2

Under the Childcare Act 2016, from September 2017 the level of free childcare for 3-4 year olds of working parents increases to 30 hours per week in each of 38 weeks per annum (totalling 1140 hours per annum)

Currently, the entitlement is 15 hours per week in each of 38 weeks per annum.

To be eligible for the free childcare, each parent must be working the equivalent of 16 hours per week up to a maximum salary of £100,000.00 per annum per parent. Whilst parents are not required to be working at least 16 hours per week, their earnings must equate to at least 16 hours per week at national minimum or living wage.
