New statistics from the Ministry of Justice for the period July - September 2023 show that the number of Tribunal cases fell. Whilst the Tribunal received 7,400 new single claims (a fall of 500 compared to the previous quarter - 6.33%), it disposed of 7,700 (600 more than the previous quarter - 8.45%). Moreover, the number of outstanding single claims fell from 35,000 to 32,000 (down 8.57%) during the quarter, a fall of 13,000 compared to a year ago (down 28.88%). Furthermore 12,000 new multiple claims were received by the Tribunal, down 4,000 compared to the previous quarter (a fall of 25%), with 13,000 disposed of (up 6,300 compared to the previous quarter - an increase of 94.03%). However, the number of outstanding multiple cases increased by 2,000 during the quarter, but is down 10,000 compared to a year ago.
