‘4ugust’ – The New Four-Day Working Week Initiative

Further to our recent article on the issue of the four-day working week, those behind the recent trial, 4 Day Week Campaign in conjunction with Autonomy, have launched a new initiative called ‘4ugust’ in which they are encouraging employers to participate in a trial of a four-day working week throughout August. The director of the 4 Day Week Campaign, Joe Ryle, states: "4ugust is an exciting opportunity for organisations to experiment with a four-day week in a mini trial. Many companies already operate with summer working hours so this is just one small step further. We’re confident that many companies will sign up to take part and then get to see the benefits of a four-day week for themselves."
